Dragon Revealed kicks off a new series, Dragon Kings, which is a spin-off of the Dark Kings series.

Jeyra managed to do the unthinkable. She captured a Dragon King and brought him through a portal to her world, very far removed from his home on Earth. Varek found himself imprisoned in a dungeon, where his magic had absolutely no effect. The ruling council ordered Jeyra to interrogate Varek, which she reluctantly agreed to.

The more she talked to Varek, the more Jeyra came to realize that much had been kept from her and the people of her world. The conflict between the people and the dragons there wasn’t as black-and-white as she believed it to be.

This book continues where the Dark Kings series ended, with the novella Whisky and Wishes forming the bridge between them. I liked both Varek and Jeyra. Jeyra was willing to listen to Varek’s perspective, even though she had plenty of reason to hate the dragons. Varek showed his strong character while he was in prison without his magic. The romance between them developed a bit too fast, but there wasn’t a lot of time to make it happen, since this isn’t a full-sized novel.

With plenty of suspense and help from unexpected corners, this book neatly introduces us to a whole new world. I’m excited to delve into this one.

I can highly recommend this if you like paranormal stories with dragons and plenty of steamy romance. I suppose you could start here, but I would suggest that you start with the Dark Kings series and read it all in order. Everything will make a lot more sense that way.

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Was I hooked by this book? Yes, for sure.
