⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Yes. Zora and the Dragon Kings are in upheaval, and Shaw and Nia form a small but riveting part of the bigger tapestry.

BLURB

Nia was taken as a child and raised as a slave in service to the Divine. Her dream of freedom started to solidify when the Divine tasked her with seducing secrets from the two Dragon Kings that had come to the city of Stonemore. Shaw had the same idea when he met the beautiful Nia. Perhaps he could use her to shed some light on the Divine. Nia quickly realized there are more to the Dragon Kings than meets the eye, and maybe there’s another way to break free from the Divine’s influence.

MY THOUGHTS

Shaw and Nia are both interesting, complex characters. Just when you think you know everything about the Dragon Kings, you see a slightly different angle and learn something new. The two of them work well together and I like how their story ended.

They were very trusting of each other early on. This was a bit surprising, especially if you consider Nia’s entire career is built on seducing and tricking people.

At the end we are left with more questions than answers as the fight continues and war looms on the horizon. Nia and Shaw’s story ends satisfactorily but left me eager to know what’s going to happen next.

The Dragon Kings series is for everyone who enjoys dragon shifters, fae, and magic, with heaps of steamy romance. It is best to read the books in order, as there is an overarching theme that runs through. Other books in this series are: Dragon Revealed, Dragon Mine, and Dragon Unbound.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
