⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? A bit, yeah.
This is a very short peek into what happened shortly after Con had ended his relationship with Rhi. And he didn’t even do it himself. He had sent Darius to do the dirty deed.
This story is told first from Rhi’s perspective, then Con’s, and finally Erith’s. It doesn’t really add a lot to the overall story. It does give the reader some insight into Rhi’s actions and her feelings. I felt very strongly with her, and I have to admit, at this point I didn’t really care so much about Con’s heartbreak. It was his decision, after all, that had brought them to this point. Erith’s chapter added some extra information, most notingly about the twins.
It’s probably not necessary to read this to stay in touch with the world as a whole, but it is useful in providing some background and motivations for what had happened. It is highly emotional.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
