⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Yes. Shelby and Cameron’s second-chance romance is very sweet yet agonizing.
Shelby and Cameron shared longing looks and stolen moments when they worked together as teenage stars on a wildly popular TV show. But Shelby winds up with her love-interest from the show, Lyle, in real life when Cameron takes off after the end of the show. Their tumultuous relationship ends in drama and Shelby calls on Cameron to come rescue her. They have a short, bittersweet reunion, that ends with Cameron leaving her behind yet again. Now, ten years after the three of them graced the small screen together, Lyle is bringing Shelby and Cameron together again to co-star on a home renovation reality show.
MY THOUGHTS
Shelby was super prickly at first, but we discovered more about her every time something new was revealed regarding her past with Lyle and Cameron. The relationship between Shelby and Cameron developed very slowly and Cam was maybe a bit over-cautious, but it was believable. I enjoyed the descriptions of the renovation project, and the behind-the-scenes look at the reality show aspect of it. Lyle is extremely unpleasant, as he was meant to be.
I enjoyed the book, and it had a satisfactory happy ending. I can recommend it if you like second-chance romances. See what other readers are saying on Goodreads.

I enjoyed this book too! Nice review!
Thanks!
Great review! I’ve been curious about this and I do love a good slow burn romance.
Thanks. Give it a try, who knows, maybe you’ll love it. And I also love a slow burn.
I enjoyed this one too. I love a good second chance romance and I also just really liked watching Shelby find a new path for herself.
I really enjoyed this one. Shelby and Cameron were fantastic together!
I loved this book, so I’m glad you enjoyed it as well. Erin Hahn is an autobuy author for me. It started with her YA books and has continued to this one.
I liked this book a lot more than you did. I loved the history these two shared, the cast was fantastic, and it was such a pleasure seeing their romance get a chance to grow up with them
I’m glad you liked it.
I absolutely ADORED this book! It was fun to see Hahn transition from slightly angsty YA contemporary romance to adult romance. I will read anything she wants to write. Great review!
Thanks. I’m glad you liked it.
