Welcome to another Monday Musings. How are you all doing? I skipped last week’s post, so here are two weeks’ worth of thoughts and stuff.

Happy Halloween! May you have a spooktacular day, whatever you end up doing. My kids are not going out tonight, they’ve outgrown the trick-or-treating, but I’m ready for whatever little creatures knock on my door tonight.

I had some visits with friends, that is always relaxing and exactly what the doctor ordered. This past weekend my husband and I went out to dinner with friends and it was an awesome evening. My family also played a game or two of Scrabble. That was so much fun and we should definitely plan another day like it. And I spent a few days catching up on other bloggers’ posts. You are all such an inspiration. Thank you.

Early last week we had a huge snowfall and the warmer temperatures after that have melted almost all of the snow. I think tonight is going to be a good one for knocking on doors to collect candy.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

It was a fun reading week.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I’ve already read Built to Last and Garrett’s Destiny, just have to get the reviews done this week.

INTERESTING QUOTES

Here are some quotes from books I’ve read recently that caught my eye.

From The Duke Not Taken by Amalie Howard: “She has not yet fit any of the many female molds he carried around in his thoughts, little sarcophagi of expectation.”

From the blurb for Moonlight and Magic by Darynda Jones: “Fortysomething Annette Osmund always knew she was psychic. She’s not, but that didn’t stop her from giving those nonexistent abilities her all.” Not a quote from the book, but this just had me laughing out loud.

From Built to Last by Erin Hahn: “I am on high alert. A world-renowned CIA-level assassin could blink the next room over and I would know. That’s how alert I am.”

From Book Lovers by Emily Henry: “Maybe my brain is organized by the Dewey decimal system, but right now all the shelves seem to be on fire.”

Do you have any fun quotes to share?
