⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Yes. The Snow White story retold in epic fashion, complete with seven debutants, poisoned apple, and not one but two evil queens.

Bianca White is the illegimate daughter of an earl, Lord Quinseley, and his Black mistress. Her father loved her very much, but after the suspicious death of her parents, Bianca had nowhere to go. She believed that Lady Quinseley had taken her in out of the goodness of her heart, but that was far from the truth. Lady Quinseley wanted nothing more than to humiliate and destroy Bianca and she paid the destitute Earl of Eagleton, Harry, to seduce and ruin Bianca.

MY THOUGHTS

This was so much fun. My only gripe is that Bianca seemed to be two very different people. She is naïve and timid for the most part, but very sexually confident when it comes to flirting with Harry. Other than that, I loved seeing Bianca bloom into a confident young woman who knows what she wants. And to see Harry struggle to figure out what kind of man he wants to be. Bianca’s seven new friends were cooky but sincere, and provided exactly the right support that Bianca needed.

The author very successfully remade the classic Snow White story fit in with the Regency period. If you’re a fan of fairy tale retellings and/or steamy historical romance, then you’ll like this one. See what other readers are saying on Goodreads.
