Hi, and welcome to my Monday Musings.

Spring is well on its way now. And on Sunday my husband and I made the trip to Costco for flowers. Now my deck looks all happy and colourful and ready for summer.

And the longer days sure came in handy on Friday morning when my daughter and I got up super early to get her hair and make up done for her high school graduation events. It felt okay to be up at that time, because the sun was also up. Yes, Friday was the big day for her with the ceremony in the morning and the dinner in the evening. The week before that was filled with anxiety and worry, but it all turned out perfect. The hair, the make up, the dress, the friends, the happy smiles, it all came together to make for a very memorable day.

Needless to say, the rest of the weekend was passed in a lazy fog, with the occasional burst of action. This week is back to reality and studying for the upcoming exams. I’m so happy that it’s not me.

And now on to the reading part of the post.

DONE AND DUSTED

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

I’ve been enjoying the True North series by Sarina Bowen. It is set in Vermont and follows the lives of a couple of families living close to each other. I love the author’s writing style. She brings a lot of emotion and humour in all the right places. And if you like suspense, then I can definitely recommend anything written by Karin Slaughter. She will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and second-guessing everything that happens.

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
