Welcome to my Monday Musings. I skipped last week’s Monday post again. Last time I posted about not feeling so great after a Sunday afternoon spent in the sun. Well, turns out I picked up a bug somewhere over the weekend and I was sick for the rest of that week. By last weekend I was finally feeling a bit better. This past week I went out for breakfast with a friend and otherwise just spent my time working and running errands and so on.

On Sunday my family and I went for a sightseeing trip to a small town close to the city. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great time. But the thing I’m most excited about is in the small town is a bookstore with a combination of old and new books. I found a brand new hardback copy there of Diana Gabaldon’s Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone for half the price of a paperback copy on Amazon. Of course, I bought it. I haven’t read it yet.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I posted three reviews these past two weeks.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

I received a copy of The Scot Who Loved Me by Gina Conkle for review a long time ago and I am finally reading it. I feel so bad about all the books I’ve taken on but haven’t read and reviewed yet. My goal is to work my way through that list before the end of the this year.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From Unfortunately, Yours by Tessa Bailey: Oh God, she could almost hear the bad idea coming toward her on a conveyor belt of doom.

From A Very Merry Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams: Apparently, romances were the can’t eat just one of literature. One chapter became just a few more pages until it was suddenly two a.m.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
