Welcome to my Monday Musings. And just like that January is almost over. It was a good week with a variety of reads that I enjoyed. I met up with some friends one evening for wine and appies and catching up. Saturday my husband and I went out for dinner and it was delicious and fun.

I’ve read quite a lot of historical romances the past month and I enjoyed them all, including three new-to-me authors, whose other books I will definitely be checking out. Who are your favorite historical romance authors?

And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I added three new reviews and the quickie reviews are here. I also finished Bride by Ali Hazelwood and the review is coming soon.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTEs that caught my eye

From Ever After Always by Chloe Liese: Aiden’s laugh bursts beside me like a firework in the night sky, so bright and rich that it stuns me.

From It Takes a Rake by Anna Bennett: Leo tried to recall what he’d eaten for dinner that night. Wondered if there was something other than brandy in Kitty’s flask. Because clearly, he’d ingested or imbibed something that had caused him to hallucinate. Either that, or Kitty had just asked him to make love to her.

From It Takes a Rake by Anna Bennett: The sofa wasn’t terribly far away, but it may as well have been on the other side of the world. Those twenty seconds were an eternity. Molasses in an hour glass.

From Accidentally His by Sabrina Jeffries: “You can’t kiss the questions out of me.” “Oh, but I think I can if you’ll just give me the chance,” he said as he tugged her into his arms.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Monday Musings adventure.
