Welcome to another Monday Musings. It was a fairly quiet week with just the usual running around, school, and work. We are busy painting our entire house inside and we’re making good progress, albeit a bit slow. It’s also giving me a chance to do some deep cleaning, you know, with all the furniture that have to be moved away from the walls. On the weekend we had friends over for dinner and had a great time. Today is Family Day here in Canada and it’s snowing.
We started watching The Boys and I have mixed feelings, but I also can’t seem to stop watching.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
Not all the books I’ve read gets a full review on here.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gina and Stone are partners on the new season of The Dance Off. Will this bring the fame that Gina desires and the help that Stone's family needs? Or will their fake relationship ruin everything?
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Widowed Lillian travels from England to Italy to look for her son, whom she hasn't heard from in 4 years. The Italians surprise and entertain her.
⭐⭐ Lina and her husband Brown are separating, but other people don't know yet. When their friends invite themselves for a visit, Lina convinces Brown to pretend they're still together.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Harley and Gavin meet again at his daughter's birthday party hosted at Spark House. They strike up a friendship. But can they keep it friendly?
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genevieve and Evan only get in trouble when they are together and Genevieve left town to clean up her act. She's back and the chemistry is stronger than ever. Can they be good together?
⭐⭐⭐ Calla returns home after her mother cleaned out her bank accounts. She is also in danger because of her mother. The hunky Jax might be the only one that can keep her safe.
⭐⭐⭐ Sadie and Erik had a night of passion until a misunderstanding drove them apart. Maybe some time stuck in an elevator together can help heal the rift.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Looking forward to my reading for this week.
Atticus, the last of the ancient druids, is tired of being on the run. He makes a final stand with some very powerful allies at his back, but his enemies might just have the upper hand.
The Duke of Lawford takes shelter with a local country squire after an accident. He pretends to court the daughter, Sadie, to help her marriage prospects.
Isla needs to redeem her social media reputation. To keep herself and her sister afloat, she takes on the care of Camilla, a spoiled pooch whose grouchy demeanor matches her owner's, the reclusive Theo.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
I’m glad to hear you had a quiet week. You read a lot of books. Excited to have you with us for Hounded.
I’m excited too. Not sure what to expect, but hopefully it’ll be good.
Painting the whole interior is a big undertaking. Hope it all goes well. Stay With Me wasn’t my favorite of the series but I still enjoyed it. It’s been years since I read that series but I have fond memories of those new adult books. 🙂
The painting is getting there, slowly. I agree with you on Stay With Me. It did get better as the story went on.
Painting is a nice way to refresh the look of your home and get some cleaning done as well. Hope you love the new look. It’s supposed to snow this week where I live too (Northern California) so I guess winter isn’t done with us yet.
I want to try Helena Hunting at some point. Nice to see you enjoyed Make a Wish.
The walls definitely needed a refresher and it looks so clean and new now. We had a lot of snow. It was a bit of a shock this morning when we went out to shovel the driveway. Only did it halfway, just enough to get the car out. And then it snowed some more. I usually like Helena Hunting.
We haven’t ventured out yet, but I think my husband will have to shovel a path out of the garage today. Especially since I’m set to work tomorrow!
I’ve moved a lot in my life and have painted a lot of houses! I know it’s not easy. Best of luck with the painting!
Thanks! The painting is progressing slowly.
I loved Hounded. All of your new romances look lovely. Yay for snow & family days!
Painting! Not my favorite chore to do around the house but it really does spruce things up and makes a room feel clean. I hope that you have a wonderful week. Happy reading!
Thank you! Hope you do too.
