Welcome to another Monday Musings. Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. It kind of snuck up on me this year and I haven’t made any plans to make the day different than any other day. Do you have any special plans? So, Happy Valentine’s Day to everybody, whether you like the day or not. I’ll just stick to reading romance.
My shingles are pretty much over now, thank goodness. The last two weeks have been up and down and I’m very grateful that I made it to other side. It hasn’t been all doom and gloom though. The previous weekend my husband and I got dressed up and transformed into different personas for a murder mystery evening, which was great fun. And this past weekend we had friends over for dinner. Our house is getting a make over in the form of new paint on the walls everywhere. It’s been slow going with me being out of commission for a while, but I’m back in business and now we are full steam ahead.
We started watching Yellowstone on Amazon Prime and it has been a crazy binge-watching few weeks so far. We’re considering giving Netflix a rest for a while and trying another streaming service. Anything you’d recommend?
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Looking forward to my reading for this week.
INTERESTING QUOTES
Here are some quotes that caught my eye. Well, just one quote this week.
From Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy: “Please, Mac. Come home. I don’t know what I am if I can’t love you.”
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
Glad you’re coming through the other end with the painful Shingles. Fun about the Murder Mystery party. I enjoyed a few on your dusted pile.
Have a good low-key Valentine’s Day!
Thanks!
You’ve been reading some good books. I don’t watch much of all the streaming we have. But we do watch cooking and home improvement shows on Discovery so that’s my favorite one. We have Prime, Netflix, HBOMax, Paramount+ and Discovery+. I’m just ending a free trial of Apple Tv and only watched a 4-5 hours of Shantaram so far. I’m happy to hear you are feeling better.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Thanks! We’re thinking of continuing with Prime and then maybe Paramount+.
I’m a huge fan of Yellowstone and binge-watching it is the best way to watch it! I enjoyed Take the Lead and Make a Wish, hope you do too
I’m glad you’re feeling better. My hubby and I got our vaccines in 2022 as we are both over 50. I look forward to reading your review of Take The Lead as that’s on my TBR as well!
I’m not watching anything on TV these days but I hope once I catch up with reading that seems to be falling behind since the beginning of the year, I look forward to binge read good shows. Happy reading!
I have wanted to try Yellowstone. Good to know it is on Prime. I wish the shingles’ vax wasn’t so expensive. I am only 56 and would have to pay well over $300.00 for each of the 3 shots required. I worry about getting it, particularly in the eye area. A friend developed near blindness. I am so glad you are feeling better.
Oh, my goodness. I didn’t know it was that expensive. I don’t think we pay for it here. Yellowstone is definitely interesting, very violent, so you have to be prepared for that.
