Welcome to another Monday Musings. It’s December and the Christmas spirit is everywhere! I love it. My tree and decorations are already up and my plans for this season are all coming together nicely.

We had a super cold week last week, the weekend was slightly better, and today it’s snowing again. I love the snow, just not the shoveling of the driveway that comes with it.

Saturday was my husband’s work Christmas party. I didn’t know anybody there, but that didn’t stop me from having a great time. I met some wonderful people and we had a lovely turkey dinner. It was great to get out again for a change and dress up a bit. And there was the Costco trip yesterday. It’s hard to resist all the beautiful seasonal items there.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

It was a quiet week and I’m way behind on reviews.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I’ve read Coming Home and the review is coming.

INTERESTING QUOTES

Here are some quotes that caught my eye.

From Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn: They both shrug. “Pretty, yes.” Gilchrest admits. “Beautiful even. But she’s what we Canadians call a Winnipeg winter.” “A Winnipeg winter?” “Great natural beauty but capable of freezing your dick off if you’re stupid enough to get naked.”

Also from Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn: “I’m telling you, my tits are like two scoops of ice cream somebody left out in the sun, just melted halfway down my chest with the cherries pointing south.”
