Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up. It was a good week, not too busy, not too quiet. I did a lot of volunteering between the Food Bank and my kid’s air cadets. Went to the mall one day with a friend. The weekend was just spent at home, doing some chores, reading, and watching TV. We’ve been watching Schitt’s Creek, and I don’t know why we waited so long. Netflix only has the first three seasons, I’m hoping they’ll get the rest soon.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I posted two new reviews and no new quickie reviews.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I already read Promise Me Sunshine (which I loved), the review is coming soon. And then I have the other two ARCs that are due very soon. Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From To Wed a Wild Lord by Sabrina Jeffries: “You… you love me?” His heart seemed permanently lodged in his throat. “More than life. God only knows why you love me, because I sure as hell don’t, but I know why I love you. You’re my beacon in the darkness, and my compass on a night sea. When I’m with you, I don’t want to dance with Death. I want to dance with Life. I want to dance with you. And whatever it takes, I mean to spend the rest of my life trying to deserve you.”

From No Gravestone Left Unturned by Gena Showalter and Jill Munroe: Conrad! Her heart went from zero to sixty. Well, not zero. She still lived. But if she’d been a corpse, she might have spontaneously resurrected.
