Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up (that’s a bit later than usual this week). I had every intention of trying to catch the lunar eclipse, but it was very cloudy here and I fell asleep. On Friday I had a lovely evening visiting with some friends. Other than that, it was pretty quiet. The weather is warmer, but still solidly winter and we had some snow over the weekend.
How do you keep your glasses clean? I feel like I spend an inordinate amount of time just cleaning glasses. The kind for seeing, not drinking from 😁.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted two new reviews and no new quickie reviews.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Forced to rely on his visions as never before, Hadrian must fully embrace the gift he despises—and risk everything to keep Tilda safe.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Return to Scotland and the Skye Druids, where magic and danger intertwine and a tale of passion, revelations, and new beginnings unfolds.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Too much alcohol encouraged Conor to stop Eloise's wedding. The least he could do is give her a place to live, right?
⭐⭐⭐ Determined to clear her good name, Jane dives headlong into following the clues, but can she identify the killer before she goes to jail? Or worse… there’s another victim?
⭐⭐⭐ On the hunt for clues, Jane turns the small town upside down. As scandalous secrets surface, a single truth becomes clear: if she doesn't solve the murder fast, Jane will be the next victim.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
Former thief, Audrey, teams up with gambler-turned-spy, Kaldar, to steal an artifact back before it falls into the wrong hands.
Anya returns to her hometown with her daughter to lick her wounds. Rick is only too eager to help her out, but there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed.
Mira's always up for a good hunt, but things get complicated when she goes undercover as her partner Ty's plus one for his sister's upcoming wedding. Her job? To confirm whether a dangerous paranatural has infiltrated Ty's family.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
Nothing new for this week.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Weekly Wrap Up adventure.
Keeping glasses clean is difficult. And I have three pair – my normal progressives, my computer progressives, and prescription sunglasses. The sunglasses tend to get and stay dirty because I forget to clean them when I come it. I found that the Norwex optic cloth is great for rubbing out most stuff, but I also use a spray cleaner my eye doctor gave me. Last week when I was on vacation, I actually used rubbing alcohol and an optic cloth. But I’m cleaning them at least once per day.
I have two pairs – normal progressives and computer progressives. I bought those sunglasses that you can wear over your regular glasses, because I didn’t want another pair of prescription glasses. They work great.
I have a Peeps cleaner and I only wear glasses for reading but still think having to clean them even daily is frustrating. I only remember to clean them 1-2 times per week.
Yeah, mine regularly has a fuzzy spot somewhere.
I like the sound of that new Sarah Bennett book!
I do like a quiet kind of week. Snow? We had some last weekend, but I think that’s it for us this year. I hope so at least. We still have a lot of rain in the forecast. I’m behind. I need to listen to Fate’s Edge. I don’t think I’ll be done in time for the chat though. We’ll see.
Fate’s Edge did take a long time to listen through. I don’t speed up the audio, so there’s that. Hope you enjoy it. I’m not going to make the chat, unfortunately.
OMG… i am so happy I am not alone in the cleaning of my glasses. I absolutely can not stand them to be the least bit dirty and notice it almost immediately. I am the same with my phone and computer screen. But it truly makes me nutters and cannot be ignored.
