Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up. It was reading week for both my university kids and it was lovely having both of them home. We had some super cold days with lots of snow and then it warmed up a bit. I watched the Olympics somewhat, mostly the TV was on in the background and I tuned in every so often. Did you watch any Olympics and do you have a favourite event? I watched the hockey, some curling, and some speed skating, and I liked the ice skating.
I have also joined the What’s in a Name Reading Challenge again this year. Not sure what books I’m going to read for it yet, but it’ll come.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted three new reviews and no new quickie reviews. Some of these were read in the previous week, I’m not quite this prolific. I just updated my Goodreads pages all at one time.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on. I finished reading The Diamond Puck-Up, but my review is still coming.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
From The Diamond Puck-Up by Lauren Landish: Something is happening in my chest. A heart attack maybe? But no, that’s not it. Nor is it the flutter of butterfly wings, nothing so poetic and pretty as that for a girl like me. Instead, my heart is thudding against my rib cage like a herd of flightless penguins flapping their wings around wildly like they’ve forgotten evolution did them dirty.
From Road Trip With a Vampire by Jenna Levine: “Are you new here?” I blurted before I could talk myself out of saying something stupid like… that. My flirtatious instincts should have stayed dormant. I was terrible at this.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Weekly Wrap Up adventure.

I watched a lot of the Olympics – CBC had it on 22 hours a day. It’s too bad there was a 9 hour time difference for me but we recorded events and took it whatever we wanted to. Have a great week!
Thanks! You too. I just put CBC on during the day and watched whatever they showed.
Glad you enjoyed some time with your kids and the Olympics. I’ve been watching a bit. Mostly skating, skiing and snowboarding.

Nice to have the kids home! I thought Road Trip With a Vampire was hilarious! Hope you love First Sign of Danger and get some warmer weather your way!
I did love First Sign of Danger. Finished it last night. And it looks like it’s warming up a bit this week.
So many great books! I’m planning to start First Sign of Danger in the coming week too. I love the series — can’t wait!
That’s lovely that you got some quality time with your kids! I didn’t catch much of the Olympics myself—I had the Premier League on in the background instead. ⚽️
Glad you enjoyed Maybe This Once since it didn’t work for me. I wanted to like it so bad. I didn’t watch much Olympics unless I was at my mom’s house where she was watching it. I just tend to put on other things these days in the background on tv. Hope you’ve been having a good week!
