Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up and welcome to February. I was sick for the past few days, just a cold with a wicked sinus infection and an irritating cough. It’s slowly getting better, I think. My reading was a bit all over the place as I was trying to cope with my feelings of varying misery. I did manage a lovely evening out with some friends before all this hit me out of the blue.

I started watching Bridgerton, only managed the first episode, but I’m excited for it. And I really enjoyed The People We Meet On Vacation. I also watched both seasons of Maxton Hall. The show has some questionable things in it, but I’m just there for James and Ruby.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I posted one new reviews and the latest quickie reviews are here.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From Cross Your Heart and Hope He Dies by Jenny Elder Moke: “She’s got an idea,” Jake said, taking a deep breath. “Which means I need to hide the coffee.” “I will need so many cups,” Kate said, looking gleeful. “My heart will be like a little hummingbird escaping a predator.”

From Two Witches and a Whiskey by Annette Marie: I should’ve been sleeping like the dead, but between the two potions Zak had fed me, I was feeling damn spritely. I could run a marathon right now. Actually, no, I couldn’t. I’d never run a marathon in my life.

From Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter: …I’d happened to glance out my office window this morning and immediately spotted her down on the street below. Fucking weird. It was like Where’s Waldo?, only Izzy wasn’t wearing stripes, and my super-power was apparently being able to instantly find her in a crowd.
