Welcome to my Weekly Wrap Up. The weather has certainly been very up and down this past week. It started out all right, then plunged to polar vortex cold, and today it’s back up to “not freezing my nose off”. I did my usual volunteering at the Food Bank and visited with some friends. Last night we had friends over for an early Christmas dinner and I had a blast. It certainly was a lot of prep work, but it was worth it. At least, I don’t have to cook today.
My blog has been giving me some problems this past week and trying to figure out what to do about it was a major time black hole. Things are still not 100%, but it’s mostly some background stuff not working as they should. I will try to find time later to figure that out. I have to say, so far the online support I’ve found for various issues have been overwhelmingly positive.
I have decided to sign up for the 2026 Audiobook Challenge hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer and That’s What I’m Talking About. This past year I’ve enjoyed listening to books in the car and while doing some chores and I can definitely see myself continuing with it. Might as well try this challenge.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted one full review and there are no new quickie reviews.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
No new ones this week.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Weekly Wrap Up adventure.

I read and enjoyed Kirkland & Kindness. It was a nice fix as we wait for the next full-length novel. I hope you loved Turn of Fate as much as i did!
So glad you are enjoying audiobooks and joining us again in 2026.
I live in fear if my blog has issues because I don’t know how to do anything (someone else set it up for me). I hope your issues are all fixed.
Yeah, most of the time the issues have been easy to figure out, but WordPress has forums with pretty good support and plugins usually have the same kind of thing. Most of my help has come from the place that hosts my blog.
We’ve had freezing temps and record lows overnight but then it’s going to be 50s-60s this week 10-15C which isn’t too bad at all.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I’ve had some issues with my blog with this last wordpress update but I’ve figured out a workaround at least for the time being. I know how frustrating it can be when things are working well.
I also feel like this issue has popped up since the last update, but I’m not 100% sure. My blog still works, it’s a bunch of background things that’s supposed to happen automatically that’s not working right now.
I’ve been having issues with my blog too, one has finally been sorted after two weeks of investigation, for the second they’ve given me a workaround for the time being. I hope your problem is resolved quickly.
Wishing you a happy reading week
I just finished Kirkyards and Kindness Turns of Fate this week and enjoyed both! It’s not that cold here, but we’ve been getting a ton of rain. Have a great week!
Thanks, you too!
I love the sound of Turns Of Fate! Happy reading.
Thank, you too!
Sorry I’m late commenting! I hope you’re getting things on your blog figured out. That is always so frustrating! I’m thinking of doing the Audiobook Challenge myself as well this year. Hope you had a good week. I promise to be back to check out this Sunday’s post sooner this week!

Eh, don’t worry. I’m frequently late checking out other blogs. At least you’re getting there.
