⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Yes and no. The writing drew me in and I wanted to see where their story was going, but ultimately it wasn’t as satisfying.
BLURB
Christian’s sophisticated exterior hides a complicated, dark, and twisted personality. He is cold, distant, calculating, and doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. And yet the shy, introverted Stella not only manages to scale that impenetrable wall, she completely breaks it down.
MY THOUGHTS
I did not like Christian. At all. He is violent, obsessive, and controlling. And while he did open up to Stella and came to terms with his issues, I felt the same about him at the end as I did at the beginning. He reminded me of Alex from Twisted Love, only I liked Alex more.
Stella was a strange combination of shy and scared. Her confidence grew the more time she spent with Christian. I have to say that was his one great feature. That he showed Stella she is an amazing, strong woman just the way she is.
Unfortunately, I didn’t really care much about them as a couple either. They just seem so completely mismatched.
What I liked: the writing is compelling and the plot unfolds at a great pace. The author manages to build the tension between Christian and Stella quite effectively. I loved seeing the other couples as well and their interactions.
If you like your romance novels erotic, intense, and dark, then go for it. It’s probably worth it to read the entire Twisted series in order. My favorite is Twisted Hate. The second book in the series is Twisted Games.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Christian doesn’t sound like a good guy at all. Sorry, this one was a miss for you.
Yeah, I’m not necessarily against an anti-hero kind of guy, but I just couldn’t warm up to Christian. Well, you win some, you lose some. I still enjoyed the series as a whole.
I’m sorry this book was a disappointment for you! What a bummer!
