BLURB
Wulfe is missing and the precarious alliance between the pack and the other paranormals are under threat. When bodies start to drop and the local vampire seethe disappears, Mercy and Adam and their pack are in a race against time. The killer appears to be a character from a horror movie. What is the true driving force behind it all?
MY THOUGHTS
I loved how the book began by showing Mercy’s continuing integration into the pack and the intimate tenderness between her and Adam. That, no matter how out-of-control things get, the two of them are on solid ground. Also, the short recap helped jog my memory. It’s been a while since I have read any of the books in this series.
Sometimes it felt like there was a bit of information overload, but overall, the author let events unfold at a good pace and in good time. Everything was explained thoroughly and in a way that made you want to know more. The ending was super sweet. I also love how the wolves in Adam’s pack are shown with regular, mundane problems, just like everybody else.
After 13 books, I am most definitely not tired of Mercy Thompson and her odd collection of friends. I can recommend this to anyone who like paranormal romance with an abundance of action and mystery. It’s not super steamy.
