⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Yes. This second chance romance was emotionally charged, hot, messy, and a lot of fun.

Three years ago, I swore to myself we were done. Since then, Tweetie Sorenson has embraced the professional hockey player bachelor lifestyle—his social media is a highlight reel of clubs, friends, and a never-ending stream of different women. It’s hard to believe he’s the same man who stole my heart the very night we met. With him, everything felt wild, spontaneous, and absolutely perfect. I thought he was my forever. Then, he broke my heart. Or maybe we broke each other’s. Either way, it was over. I’ve moved on—new city, dream job—until my boss throws me back into Tweetie’s world. I’m sent to Chicago to manage the Falcons’ social media, which means working alongside the one man I never truly let go of. FML.

MY THOUGHTS

I’m sorry to say this, but I didn’t like Tedi for a good portion of the book. She had big “the lady doth protest too much” energy and her reasons for breaking up with Tweetie could not all be laid at his feet. That all changed for me when it was clear that her old insecurities were a thing of the past and she was ready to commit 100%. With maturity came wisdom, I guess. Tweetie was a sweetie to begin with and he just became more endearing as time went on.

Mr. Charming was super charming, indeed, with fabulous banter and sizzling chemistry. The rest of the Nest’s inhabitants played their parts to perfection. Tweetie and Tedi were just the right ending to close out this era of shenanigans. I look forward to the next crop. And may I just say, chapters 66 and 67 were unbelievably cute and had me laughing out loud. See, now you have to read it to find out.

I can highly recommend this series if you like a steamy hockey romance. These books stand well on their own, but it’s worth reading them all.
