Quickie Reviews are what it says, a short one paragraph review for those books that didn’t get a full page review.
How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn
An undeniably funny and spicy new winter holiday, enemies-to-lovers romance.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book was pure pleasure from start to finish. I loved Cole and Storee so much. They had heaps of electric chemistry and amazing growth. I also loved Max and the other secondary characters in this quirky little Christmas town. The best parts were the narrator’s rhyming and the back-and-forth between Cole and the narrator. That was unexpected and hilarious. The plot flowed seamlessly, the banter was top-notch, and the competition fierce.

The Boy Who Cried Bear by Kelley Armstrong
Detective Casey Duncan tries to locate the threat before it’s too late.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this series so much. The events here are very similar to what has happened before, and Eric and Casey respond to the crisis in their predictive no-nonsense style. Max was so brave and I adored him. Usually, I don’t get too invested in a particular resident, but it was impossible not to get attached to Max. I also love Eric and Casey together and the little developments that are taking place in their relationship. These books can be read on their own, but I think there’s more value in reading them in order, and even better if you can read the Rockton series first.

A Werewolf’s Guide to Seducing a Vampire by Sarah Hawley
Ben Rosewood never meant to be bound to a vampire succubus, especially one as sexy-yet-terrifying as Eleanora Bettencourt-Devereux, but he has to admit there are some fang-tastic perks.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first thought was that I really enjoyed the author’s witty and conversational writing style. It made the book so much fun to read. Ben was such a cute, neurotic guy, he was absolutely adorable. I loved how Eleanora adjusted to modern times, Ben, and her new surroundings. Her explorative performances were hilarious and confusing and disturbing. Ben was so careful to treat Eleanora with deference and she absolutely blossomed under his care. This is a fun series if you like werewolves, demons, witches, and so on with a sweet romance. It’s not necessary to read them in order, but it’ll help to keep the recurring characters straight.

The Slowest Burn by Sarah Chamberlain
Love could be a recipe for disaster, or the best thing they ever cooked up…
⭐⭐⭐⭐ This one got off to a rocky start, with the two MCs stubbornly clinging to their own fears and pain and it was difficult to see how they will get past this to work together. But once they did, I really enjoyed the two of them together. There was so much heartache in this and I thought the slow romance development suited their situations and their personalities.

Hope you enjoyed these quickie reviews. Have you read any of these books yet?
Those look like some good reads. I do need a holiday romance for my reading challenge, but I’m not big on enemies to lovers. I still need to read Armstrong!
Loved Max in The Boy Who Cried Bear, too! I was so worried for him!
