Quickie Reviews are what it says, a short one paragraph review for those books that didn’t get a full page review.
North of Nowhere by Allison Brennan
The head of a criminal empire has finally found his kids after five years. But a lot of people are willing to die to keep them out of his clutches.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exciting thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. There are so many questionable loyalties and the bad guys fall into the gray areas where no one is all good or all bad. The premise of the book is super interesting and the plot flows at a fast, nail-biting pace. This book is definitely more action driven as opposed to character driven.

Not My Kind of Hero by Pippa Grant
Maisey and her daughter, Juniper, escapes to Hell’s Bells to get away from her ex and vicious online rumors. Her grumpy tenant, Flint, seems to be a fixer-upper in need of saving too.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Maisey and Flint are just so damn cute. I loved the development of their reluctant relationship and I also really enjoyed Junie as a character. This is a feel-good, sweet romance about finding second chances in life (and love).

Renn and Blakely find themselves married in Vegas and agree to a 90-day marriage of convenience. But the attraction always simmering between them says there’s nothing convenient about this arrangement.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I absolutely loved this romance between Renn and Blakely. And you know a story is good if you end up not only loving the main characters, but the side characters also intrigue you. I was fascinated by Ella and Brock, and goodness, Foxx, I definitely want to know more there.

Cruel Seduction by Katee Robert
The day that Aphrodite and Hephaestus got married was punctuated by mutual hate, that quickly transformed under the influence of their own desire and the tender ministrations of Pandora and Adonis. This is a polyamorous romance.
⭐⭐⭐ I liked the dynamic between the four characters, but the story felt way too short. I would’ve liked to see more character development and more of their relationship.
