Welcome to my Monday Musings. It was a pretty good week. I visited with some friends, got a bunch of reviews done, and had a bit more time for myself. A friend and I went to see Menopause, The Musical 2, and it was a blast. The performers were excellent and it was entertaining and funny. Over the weekend my kids were super busy, but my husband and I less so. It was lovely just relaxing at home. We put up a new ceiling fan in our bedroom and we are quite taken with it. It comes with a remote and an app for your phone. The poor fan has been put through all its paces quite a few times now.
On a bookish note, I’m really loving my Kobo Plus subscription so far. Do you have KU or Kobo Plus or something similar?
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted three new reviews this past week, and I still have a few outstanding reviews. You can find the latest quickie reviews here.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
These are both from Every Duke Has His Day by Suzanne Enoch:
Abruptly Galahad turned to the left, pulling hard on the lead. Bitsy sped into a trot, falling in behind him. “I seem to be going this way, now.”
Even through her red gloves he felt sparks, electricity crackling between them. He knew what caused a flow of energy: a completed circuit, positive to negative. A completed circuit.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.

Sounds like a great week. We have ceiling fans in almost every room and all the bedrooms. Right now mine runs all the time but I am considering only running it at night when I am in the room to save electricity. Right now I have KU and will have to see what I do next. The Kobo Plus deal does look like an awesome option.
I love my bedroom ceiling fan too! I don’t have any subscriptions right now. I find I have plenty to read from Netgalley, Edelweiss+ and my local library. Have a great week Rolé!
You too! Yeah, I didn’t really need the extra books that are suddenly available, but here we are.
I have never tried one of the unlimited services because I have so many review books and TBR titles. That said, I do have Audible, which gives access to their “Plus” catalogue and I have enjoyed a handful of titles through that program.
I love the quotes you chose from Every Duke! I want to get a ceiling fan like that for my bedroom for shutting the light off at night, etc. Maybe some day!
I’m happy to see you loved The New Guy and Only When It’s Us. Both were books I enjoyed.
I use KU. I like it for the most part. I am happy your fan is working out for you!
We had a ceiling fan in our bedroom at our previous house and it did really help keep us cool at night. Nice to hear you got out and enjoyed a musical. Enjoy your books!
Thanks, you too!
