Welcome to my Monday Musings. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in Canada. We had friends over on Saturday for a Thanksgiving dinner with a South African slant. We eschewed the usual turkey dinner for a more traditional South African meal. The rest of the weekend was spent resting and relaxing and preparing for the week to come.
I’m super frustrated with my phone right now. I have an iPhone and recently updated it to the latest IOS, but now my phone has trouble connecting to our Wi-Fi. We have tried everything, and my phone is finally connecting to the guest network we set up. It’ll have to do for now.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted two new reviews this past week, and you can find the latest Quickie Reviews here.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
These are both from The Truth About Myths by Giovanna Siniscalchi:
“You are a Portuguese princess, but in this chess game, you are the queen. While a king has limited moves, one square at a time, you go wherever you wish.”
Henrique found Isabel’s gaze. A luminous smile lit her face, her green eyes flashing. Henrique felt her smile’s power inside his chest as if she had charged it with electricity.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.

I can get so frustrated with my phone or wifi isn’t working correctly. I am loving these new Ilona Andrews stories!
What a fun slant on Thanksgiving to blend two cultures! Glad you got some down time for the weekend. Looks like you posted and got a goodly stack read last week.
Have a good week, Role’!
You too!
Sorry to hear about the phone issues. That sounds like a pain. Hope you will enjoy Us. It’s one of my favorites. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving. You are reading some great books. Have a great week!
You too!
I just updated my MacBook to the latest operating system and all of a sudden Safari doesn’t seem to have about half of the correct passwords saved for certain websites. It’s weird! I want to try more food from South Africa, I’ve heard so many yummy sounding things in books I just want to try more! Hope you have a good week!
It sucks when there’s bugs from a phone update. Hope you get it sorted. Such a pretty fall colored tree!
Loved Magic Claims and I’m enjoying our read-along!
Yes, and now I have to live with whatever the update brings until it updates again and hopefully fixes whatever is wonky.
I’ve been so busy that I’ve fallen way behind on blog visits. Happy Thanksgiving! My son’s GF is in school in Montreal, so she was home to visit for a bit.
OMG – I love HIM and US! SOOOO good.
I hope you have a great week.
Does your iphone support 5G? sometimes if the phone is older, you need to use the second IP address because it isn’t set for 5G. That is all I know…lol
My phone’s a bit older, so I guess that’s possible. It works, for now.
