Welcome to my Monday Musings.
Well, it seems that I have skipped my musings last week. Sometimes time just gets away from me.
Fall is progressing nicely and the days are definitely more chilly. There is still nothing more beautiful than a sunny fall day with the yellows and reds all around.
I am on a bit of quest to become healthier and hopefully lose a bit of this COVID weight. Yes, let’s just blame COVID. That’s super convenient. Wasn’t my bad habits at all. š And so, in that spirit, I started working out again regularly about 4 weeks ago. I’m not gonna lie, it is hard to start that workout in the morning some days, but every time I did, it felt so good. I just have to cling to that feeling if ever I get the notion to skip it. Included are my efforts to eat healthier as well. That see-saw is still going up and down and I’m slowly starting to lean in the healthier direction than the other one. Though, the dark side is still beckoning strongly. Are you on any kind of fitness or eating healthier journey at the moment? Share your up and downs and maybe we can get each other through it. I’ll take all the support I can get.
This week was also a week of finally getting together with friends I haven’t seen in a while. Friday’s visit was a brisk morning walk and Starbucks coffee and Saturday was wine and munchies with two amazing ladies. This coming Thursday is another evening of wine and munchies with a different group of friends. Wow, my healthy eating plan is off to a great start, eh.
And now, onto the reading part of this post.
My reading past and present:

DONE AND DUSTED
Not all of these have a review on my blog. Reviews take time, and sometimes I just want to read a book without doing a review as well.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And thatās it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.0
I am also loving this cooler weather. I gained during COVID as I hadn’t before and then early this year I had a back/hip injury which kept me limited in movement. Now I’m working my way back. Lulu loves to walk and is happy to go every day. That will work except for July-August when it is so hot. But I need to move back to my strength training I was doing before the problem, too. Right now I am starting a kitchen renovation which means lots of takeout. You might want to join or read FitReaders on Facebook or on the blogs of the hosts.
