Welcome to my Monday Musings. And October is here. I love fall and right now we are right in the middle of the splendour of it. I’m hoping the beautiful colours can hang on for a while longer before the wind strips everything bare. Last week was good, but somewhat busy. I had a lot of work to do, but I managed to meet up with a friend and also fit in a bunch of reading.

My son was in a film that was written, produced, and director by a fellow high school student. They spent all summer working on it and we went to see it on Friday evening at a special screening. The kids did a wonderful job with it (I’m a bit biased, though). My kid also did the music for the film and sound editing, as well as play a small role. It was pretty exciting seeing him on the big screen.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I posted three new reviews this past week, and I still have a few outstanding reviews. No new quickie reviews this week.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

These are both from Personal Demons by L.R. Braden:

<Humans care too much about too much.> What is that supposed to mean? <It means you need to relax. Don’t take everything so seriously. Keep stressing out like you are and your head is going to explode.>

Mira felt like a drunk on a carousel as thoughts spun together and blew apart in rapid succession.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
