Welcome to another Monday Musings. How are you all doing? It’s Thanksgiving day here in Canada today. We celebrated it on Saturday with friends. It was a lovely evening of too much food and great company.
My uni-going child is in the midst of midterms and tensions are running high. I’ve had to dust off my rusty math skills to help out a little bit. That was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
On a sadder note, my father-in-law passed away and my husband is off to South Africa to attend the memorial service and support his mom and siblings. Things sure are different without him around. For one, I have to do all the driving around. And for some reason, it’s harder for me to plan and make proper meals. Don’t know why. There are still three of us left that have to eat healthy.
And I’ve done something. Amazon had a deal for $1 on Kindle Unlimited for three months. It’s like having access to another library for at least three months, if I don’t extend the subscription. Now, my TBR list is growing even longer. Not sure there are enough hours in the day anymore.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
It was a fun reading week.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
I’ve already read the first two, I just have to get the reviews written now. Looking forward to the rest.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
I’m so sorry about your father-in-law. It’s so sad. The Modiste Mishap looks like fun.
Thanks.
I’m sorry about your FIL. I know what you mean about Kindle Unlimited. I always want to have it but I have plenty to read without it also.
Thanks. I don’t know that I will continue with the KU. A lot of the books I would like to read aren’t on there, so that doesn’t help. And yes, between Netgalley and the library, I’m pretty busy too.
I’m sorry about your FIL. I have KU and LOVE it. It’s worth paying for, in my opinion. There have been some good deals in recent days. I don’t know if this deal will work for you in Canada, but thought I would share just in case.

Thanks, appreciate it. So far, I’m collecting a lot of books on KU that I haven’t had a chance to read yet. We’ll see what it looks like when my 3 months are up.
