Welcome to another Monday Musings. Technically, it’s Tuesday, but since I missed last week I thought it’s better to be bit late than miss another week.

I’m doing well. These past two weeks have been super busy. I managed to fit in a night of wine and scrapbooking with my friend and we had a lovely dinner with friends the previous weekend. Last week were the Mamma Mia performances at my son’s school. He played Harry and had a blast with it. The kids did a spectacular job and it was a superbly fun show. Hard to believe it’s all over now. Hopefully he’ll focus on school for a change. 😁 On Sunday we had friends over for tea that I hadn’t seen in quite a while, and it was great catching up with them.

I’m still very happy with my hair change and the highlights are doing its job. So far so good. My holiday plans are shaping up nicely and now I find I’m running out of time to do everything that I’d like to do. This year my kids are only getting a small gift each and we are rather going to do a couple of fun activities that will count as Christmas presents. I’m going to put up my tree and decorations this coming weekend. Can’t wait!

Have you read any great holiday reads yet?

DONE AND DUSTED

A lot of reading, only one review so far.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I’ve read Coming Home and You Can Hide and the reviews are coming soon.

INTERESTING QUOTES

Here are some quotes from books I’ve read recently that caught my eye.

From The American Roommate Experiment by Elena Armas: As if he hadn’t just said something meant to stay with me forever, he threw the lid open, unveiling the six pastries inside. “Plus, I love being cried on every once in a while.” The box was pushed in my direction again. “It’s good for my skin.”

From The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood: “Pass the salt.” Olive would have, but Malcolm looked like he was already salty enough.

From Man Hands by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby: There is a pregnant silence, by which I mean I could almost get pregnant just basking in his stare.

From Coming Home by Shelley Shepard Gray: “I’m starting to realize that the scars I’ve been wearing on my skin aren’t the only ones I’ve collected.”

From A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout: “You can’t spell dysfunctional without fun, now can you?”

From After Dark by Jayne Castle: If it had not been horribly obvious that Chester Brady was already dead, Lydia Smith might have strangled him herself.

From You Can Hide by Rebecca Zanetti: “I don’t have any advice for you regarding Dr. Caine. The relationship between you is a battle of wits, and when it comes to the two of you, I’m unarmed.”
