Welcome to my Monday Musings.
Life got in the way of my reading this past week. I had a lot of work to catch up with, meetings to attend, and kids to ferry around and assist in various activities. But, never fear, it will be a cold day in hell when I have no time to invest in reading.
My family and I have made plans to drive south across the border over Christmas. And towards the end of last week I thought I should maybe check on our passports. It has been a while since we were able to go anywhere and they were just gathering dust at this point. Well, lo and behold, there is one that has to be renewed. Long story short, it took a while to even get a real person on the phone to make the appointment and I’ve got one, so that’s the good news. The not-so-good news is that we will be getting that passport by the skin of our teeth. Fingers crossed!
In other news, the replacement part for my oven finally arrived after about 3 months’ waiting. And a few days ago the dishwasher decided it has had enough. (Insert moaning and gnashing of teeth.) And with COVID, and manufacturing delays, it’s not quite as easy anymore to get the replacement I want. More fingers crossed!
I hope all my friends in the US have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving this week.
And now, onto the reading part of this post.

DONE AND DUSTED
Not all of these have a review on my blog. Reviews take time, and sometimes I just want to read a book without doing a review as well.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
Seems like I’m feeling nostalgic, because I have been re-reading the Hard Play series by Nalini Singh. Sexy guys, stubborn ladies, steamy romance, and great writing. I’m loving it just as much the second time around.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
I hope you manage your trip. My brother’s niece and nephew are coming from Brazil but his MIL and also their parents are waiting to see if they can renew their visas. I am scared to death for any appliances to go because getting new ones is so tough these days.
Have a great holiday and some relaxing time reading!
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Hi, I hope your brother’s family can make it. And yes, the appliances are such a pain. There are shortages everywhere and as a result things ship a lot slower.
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow.
