Welcome to another Monday Musings. How are you all doing? Looks like I skipped over the first week of November. Well, better late than never.

We survived the time change, I am obviously not a huge fan. Not at all. Though this one is the better one, if I had to choose. We slogged through a heavy snow fall and some strep throat made its rounds, but so far November has treated me fairly well.

I have been struggling with my gray hair situation. Up until now, I’ve religiously coloured the roots, but it’s getting tedious and frustrating. So, this past Friday, I did a huge thing. My hairdresser spent a lot of time giving me lighter highlights. We will continue to lighten them until they match better with the grays and in the meantime I can let the roots be. I’m quite happy with the results, but it will take some getting used to.

My son’s high school is currently in their last week of rehearsals for Mamma Mia. He has been having a blast with it and he’s already sad that it’s almost over. I’m looking forward to seeing the performance next week.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

Not all of these have reviews on here. Sometimes I just want to read for the fun of it.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

INTERESTING QUOTES

Here are some quotes from books I’ve read recently that caught my eye.

Today I only have one. Guess I forgot to collect some quotes during all my reading time.

From Patience for Christmas by Grace Burrows: “‘Some women are born troubled.’ Sharing that eternal verity with Miss Friendly earned Dougal the same look George gave him when the cat had been put out first thing on a snowy day.”

Do you have any fun quotes to share?

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
