Welcome to my Monday Musings. Last week was busy at times and quieter at times. I managed to catch up with some household chores, which was great. Friday I had my dreaded mammogram.
My son is in the air cadets here and on Saturday morning they had a coronation commemoration 5k walk. Our entire family joined and I’m so glad we did. It drizzled a teeny bit the entire walk, but it was so gorgeous next to the river downtown and everything is turning green right now. After we had burgers and snacks for lunch.
Then it was back home for a quiet afternoon before we went to a friend’s house for dinner. Sunday I spent catching up with work.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I only posted one review last week. I was also feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to reread Rebel Hard by Nalini Singh. And then I went back to when Eve and Roark met in Naked in Death.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
INTERESTING QUOTES
Some quotes that caught my eye this week:
From Defying the Earl by Erica Ridley: He kept sneaking odd looks at her. Not in a sensual fashion, unless he was also feeling amorous towards the tall case clock in the corner.
Also from Defying the Earl by Erica Ridley: “And besides, there’s nothing casual about making visual contact with you. Your glare reaches through their eye sockets and rattles their skulls.”
And another one from Defying the Earl: “I don’t have friends.” “That’s where you’re wrong. It’s already done. We’re friends now. No sense fighting facts. There’s nothing you can do to stop it.”

I also spent some time last week working on household chores. Enjoy your upcoming reading!
Thanks!
I’m so glad when my mammogram is done and read! It’s so important though, so glad to hear you got it over with.
I still need to read Hammered. I’m behind in all things books.
Yeah, I fell behind on the read-along too.
Sounds like a nice week. It’s great to have some quiet and normal. I hope you enjoy Hammered. It goes UF and the humor is less. I love the warrior stories though.
It sounds like you’ve had a great week Rolé! I hope this week is just as good.
Thanks! You too.
That sounds like a fun walk.
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Grant’s book more. I love her books.
Yeah, I’ve enjoyed her books in the past, just this one not as much. It was still a good read.
That walk you had sounds lovely next to the river. Everything is turning green here too and I love seeing everything so green. I hope the dreaded mammogram went alright.
The mammogram went fine, results are all good.
Sounds like a great walk! I love the cover of Hammered. Have a wonderful weekend!
