Hi, and welcome to my Monday Musings. It has been three weeks since my last musings. Things have just been crazy busy around here. Mostly it was work and the kids’ school, so nothing exciting, unfortunately.
Most activities have returned to in-person here after all the COVID drama, which means the kids are back to traveling all over the place after school. Spring has finally appeared with longer and warmer days. I love seeing the trees turn green and more people moving around outside. I’m just not sure my body is ready for summer clothing just yet. Monday the 23rd is Victoria Day here in Canada, so we are looking forward to a long weekend.
It has also been a crazy three weeks of shopping for shoes for my daughter’s high school graduation dinner. You’d think it would be easy, but no, it wasn’t. She hasn’t worn heels yet and she’s not going to attempt that on graduation for the first time. It’s surprisingly difficult to find evening shoes that are flat, and not too shiny. But the search has ended successfully and she is now all set for the big event.
The summer vacation is just around the corner and we are so excited, because my husband’s sister and her family are coming to visit us in August. They’ve never been to Canada, and we can’t wait to show them around.
And now on to the reading part of the post.

DONE AND DUSTED
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
I’ve decided to try something different for my recommendations page. Take a look here and let me know what you think. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
I sure enjoyed Lessons in Chemistry, Starry Eyed Love and The Wedding Crasher!
You’ve certainly read some great books! There is nothing wrong with the quiet life. It is exciting in that each day we love and learn and grow, even if the things we do are ordinary.

You are so right. I love that viewpoint.
