Welcome to my Monday Musings. Happy first day of May. April ended on a high note. We were lucky enough to experience the wonder of the Aurora from our backyard. It was spectacular.
The weather also picked up last week and the weekend was just gorgeous. On Saturday we went out for dinner with friends that we haven’t seen in quite a while. And over the weekend, drumroll please, we painted the last room. It’s all done now! I’m very happy with how it all looks. We did some serious cleaning up while we were at it and got rid of a lot of things.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted three reviews and had a most excellent week of reading.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
INTERESTING QUOTES
Some quotes that caught my eye this week:
From How to Best a Marquess by Janna MacGregor: “…But I think you’re looking at it the wrong way. Success is not the absence of failure. It’s the ability to learn from our mistakes and try again. And if necessary, try again and again until we get it right.”
From Encore in Death by JD Robb: The dress might’ve been a killer, Eve thought, but the body inside it was the true perpetrator.

How exciting that you got to see the Aurora Borealis! Nice that you enjoyed dinner with friends and that you got your painting done!
I’ll be started Hammered soon too. It’s a re-read for me and I’m looking forward to diving back in again! Hope you enjoy it!
Yay for finishing the painting and cleanup. You read some great books. I love Sherry Thomas and JD Robb.
What a gorgeous photo of the Aurora!
Glad you’re getting some great weather along with these great reads!
