Welcome to my Monday Musings. We had a wild week weather-wise. It started dumping snow on Tuesday and didn’t let up until Sunday morning. But now the sun is out and I think this will melt pretty fast. It is spring break for my youngest. We don’t have any plans, he’s the only one with time off. On Saturday the four of us went out for dinner, which was lovely. Other than that, it was a pretty uneventful week. Not sure what this week will bring.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I added one new review and you can find the latest quickie reviews here.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
INTERESTING QUOTES
From Fire Hazard by Kevin Hearne (in the Heroic Hearts collection): Atticus hired a car once we deboated (is that a word? I know you can deplane but can you deboat or dejetski of demotorcycle?) and he had the driver take us to a drive-thru to get sausage breakfast sandwiches.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Monday Musings adventure.

I liked Check & Mate, I hope you do too! I won a copy of The Wall of Winnipeg and Me and can’t wait to have time to fit it in my schedule to read. Crazy with all that snow! We’ve had the up and down temps here, but no snow. Hope you have a good week!
Thanks, you too!
It’s hard when only one person in the family has the time off. Glad you had a nice dinner out though. Hope your snow melts. It’s time for Spring! I loved Asil’s story in Heroic Hearts! I LOVED The Wall of Winnipeg and Me! My favorite Mariana Zapata besides Kulti. I also enjoyed The Missing Witness.
I think Asil’s story was my favourite from that compilation.
We had random snow this weekend, too. Luckily where I live it was mostly rain, but inland got a ton of snow and ice in some places. BOoo! I’m reading my ARC of Archangel’s Lineage by Nalini Singh, and I’m so glad we are back to a Raphael and Elena book!
I’m so jealous! I love that series by Nalini Singh.
I love the In Death series and haven’t read one in forever so I’ve got to get back to it.
I LOVED Heroic Hearts, The Missing Witness and Random in Death. I just finished listening to Still See You Everywhere by Lisa Gardner and now I’ll be on to First Contact by Kim Harrison.
Enjoy your books this week!
I hope you love Zapata’s and Hazelwood’s books. I loved them. We had sun last weekend and now rain. Kind of normal for this time of year here. Spring break isn’t until the second week in April here. Have a great week!
Thanks, you too!
