Welcome to another Monday Musings. My week was filled with painting, work, errands, and chores, and reading. The sun is out, temperatures are up a bit, and the snow is melting. I didn’t do anything for St. Patrick’s Day, just lived vicariously through all the posts and pictures on social media. Saturday I went skiing with my husband and son. It was a beautiful sunny day and the skiing conditions were superb. My ski legs just got tired by midday, so I put my feet up in the afternoon until the rest were ready to go home.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

It was a great reading week and I posted two reviews.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Looking forward to my reading for this week. Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From Getting Real by Emma Chase: Then she lets out one of those deep, loud, full-bellied baby giggles and everyone within earshot laughs out loud right along with her. Because that sound is the Borg in audio form – resistance is futile.

From The (ex) Spy Who (maybe) Loved Me by Christi Barth: He was in the biggest car he’d ever driven. Literally. It welcomed him back to America with all its gas-guzzling, giant tires, heated seats glory.

Also from The (ex) Spy Who (maybe) Loved Me by Christi Barth: Blake honestly didn’t think she’d ever been so confused. Including that horrible semester she’d spent trying to understand string theory.

Also from The (ex) Spy Who (maybe) Loved Me by Christi Barth: Bears were no joke. None of them owned calendars. Just because experts claimed they should be hibernating by now? Didn’t mean they’d all punched out for the season.

From Faking It With My New Boss by Laura Olsen: “I don’t want to fake dedicate my life to a man who would pretend to be engaged to someone he wasn’t falsely madly in love with. That would just be a waste of both of our hypothetical time. I deserve to be artificially wooed by a man who pretends to not be able to imagine a single moment of his fake life without me,” she said.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
