Hi, and welcome to my Monday Musings.

Another week is behind us. And yesterday was the start of daylight savings time. I’m not a fan of the time change. It feels too much like I have jetlag without the accompanying travel fun. And try to explain the new schedule to the dog. He doesn’t understand. Luckily, the effects don’t last forever and by next week we will be firmly entrenched in the new time.

I occasionally manage to get my act together and continue to work on my outstanding scrapbooking projects. Usually this is done with a friend and glasses of wine. We finally got together this week, but we only had the wine and much-needed conversation. The scrapbooking will have to wait for another week.

My oldest had her wisdom teeth removed on Friday under general anesthetic. She looked so lost and confused when it was time to take her home and she desperately misses her chewing ability. We’re coping well with smoothies and such, in between doses of antibiotics and pain medication. She’s not out of the woods yet, but her recovery is marching slowly in the right direction.

This all means we had a quiet weekend of staying home, experimenting with soft or liquid meals, and watching movies. We watched The Adam Project on Netflix and I really enjoyed it a lot. Sunday my husband and I took the dog out for a walk in the suddenly longer daylight time after dinner.

And now on to the reading part of the post.

DONE AND DUSTED

Not all of these have reviews on the blog, I just don’t have time to write reviews for every single book I read.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

I loved Hunt the Stars by Jessie Mihalik. It’s the first book in the Starlight’s Shadow series. It was exciting and the chemistry between Tavi and Torran set the pages on fire. I can’t wait to read the second book.

You can find more recommendations from me here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
