Welcome to another Monday Musings. I truly am not a fan of this switching to daylight savings time. If I had to choose, I’m not sure which time setting I’d prefer, but I’m convinced this switching thing is evil and only designed to torture us. I’ve been zombie-ing my way around the house today. At least I got some things done, including updating my blog and visiting other blogs. Oh, and some reading.

It was a good week last week. Cold and snowy, but not bad at all. Our house painting is progressing nicely. All the open and connected areas are now done. What is left are the separate rooms and there are four of them. Saturday we had brunch with friends and a fruitful Costco visit. We spent Sunday perusing the mall.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

I managed to post two reviews this week. Ooh-la-la.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Looking forward to my reading for this week.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From Muses & Melodies by Rebecca Yarros: “She’s the assistant manager,” Nixon added with a shrug. I was the assistant to the manager, but right now didn’t seem like the best time to argue semantics.

From Man Card by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby: She gives me a look that is pretty much like Cyclops in X-Men gives to unsuspecting enemies before he zaps the shit out of them.

Also from Man Card by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby: He’s making corn tortillas from scratch. I didn’t even know that was possible. I thought corn tortillas were born that way, you know, flat and ready to fold.

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
