Welcome to my Monday Musings. Happy July! It’s been a somewhat busy week. My entire family went to the dentist this week, and not all at the same time, so it was a bit of driving around and juggling schedules. Saturday was Canada Day and we celebrated with friends here at home. It was a gorgeous day with excellent company and way too much food. On that note, Happy 4th of July to all my friends in the US.
I am just loving Ted Lasso right now. I’m a bit late to the party, I know, but I never expected to like it so much.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted two review this week, just in time for this weekly update.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
From Her Lessons in Persuasion by Megan Frampton: Bram didn’t think it would be possible to be even more nervous than he had been during the Stars Above Society’s debate. But his mouth was dry, his palms were moist, and his whole body felt hot. So basically he was a desert and a tropical rain forest all at once.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.

Ooh, I need to get my hands on a copy of Fourth Wing! I also need to get started on the Bromance series. I have a dentist appointment I realized I need to reschedule because it conflicts with an author event! Hope you have a good week!
I’m reading Fourth Wing right now and I can’t put it down. It’s just quite long, but I don’t care. Loving it so far.
We also did the dentist thing at the end of June but I insist our appts are at the same time. Except my daughter seems to have to go an extra time for fillings or replacing fillings every time. I have read and loved all the books except one (I haven’t read). You are reading the good ones.
Happy belated Canada day. I can only imagine all the driving with the dentist. I try really hard to schedule all of ours at the same time or at least butting up to each other for that reason.
Luckily the dentist isn’t very far. All the appointments were made last minute, so we had to take what they had available.
Ugh, never like going to the dentist, but it’s a necessary evil. I enjoyed Hammered, Murder at Haven’s Rock so happy to hear you did too. Hope you like The Sweetheart List as much as I did.
I remember always feeling stressed out when appointments were stacked like that but it is nice to get everyone taken care of. I adored Fourth Wing! Have a great week!
Thanks, hope you have a great week too.
