Welcome to another Monday Musings. It’s been two weeks yet again. But I have a good reason this time. I have shingles. It started about a week and a half ago and it’s still going strong. I have finally made it to my doctor to get meds to treat it, so I’m hopeful it will be better from now on. It has been quite a wild ride so far.
That means my week has been very quiet. I couldn’t sit upright for long periods, so I rotated between lying on the bed, sitting somewhere, lying on the couch, and so on. My husband took over like a champ and made sure everything kept running smoothly.
Other than that January has treated me quite well, I can’t believe it’s almost over.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
Other than these books, I have been rereading my favorite books from the Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Looking forward to my reading for this week.
INTERESTING QUOTES
Here are some quotes that caught my eye.
From Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Ebby: It’s the bubbly. It’s made me tipsy. And that sound you just heard was not a burp. That was the bubbles effervescing. Out of me.
From Insatiable by Darcy Burke: There was simply no ignoring the magnetism he possessed – everyone could sense it. If one couldn’t, they ought to make sure they were still breathing.
From the Fine Print by Lauren Asher: “Don’t lie to me, Martha. I thought we had a connection.” I even let her go home early last week, for fuck’s sake. “Sir, our connection is weaker than the dial-up internet at the local library.”

Thanks! Love it when someone has the same taste in books as I do.
Yikes! Shingles. My husband had it once and it was horrible. I hope you continue to feel better.
Thank you!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear you have shingles. I hope you recover quickly. I really enjoyed Beach Read and I’m reading Maggie Banks right now! Have a better week ahead Rolé.
Thank you! It’s slowly feeling better every day.
