Welcome to my Monday Musings. I am very happy to report that things have warmed up somewhat in these here parts. But it’s snowing again today. At least it looks pretty. We’ll see if I make it out to the grocery store today or not. It was a quiet week. I haven’t picked up any work yet, so I had a lot of time for reading and reviewing and blogging.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I added four new reviews, which has to be a record for me. And all of them are historical romances. No new quickie reviews this week.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sparks fly when a curse leads to an unlikely alliance between a down-on-his-luck marquess and a tenacious tavern owner.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kitty agrees to teach Leo the art of being a rake, not knowing his true feelings for her.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rafe is pretending to court Verity, but it's merely a ruse to discover whether Verity or anyone else associated with Elegant Occasions is leaking crucial information to the French.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zach is tolerated in the ton because of his wealth, but he also works as a policeman. He is intrigued when a saucy governess with secrets blows him a kiss from across a ballroom.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After three centuries Alexander is still mourning the loss of his mate. His siblings find him deep in despair, but magic might be able to reunite him with Maiara again.
⭐⭐⭐ Childhood enemies discover the fine line between love and loathing in this heartfelt reimagining of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
Persephone flees to avoid marriage, only to run into her betrothed on the road where she pretends to be someone else. But Acton might be the only one who can truly help her.
Dr. Hades Jones is accused of being a rake in a scandal sheet, but it only happened because someone stole his distinctive coat. Ophelia didn't mean to smear his name and she feels obligated to make things right.
Freya and Aiden are trying marriage counseling when they join a Bergman family island getaway. Will this trip help them finally work through their trouble in paradise, or be the final wave that tows them under?
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Monday Musings adventure.

Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
❤️ Absolutely.
Stay safe and warm Rolé! Have a great week!
Thanks, you too!
I hope you will enjoy your books this week and happy reading!
Thanks! You too.
Happy Thursday! I’m a bit behind this week – but I swear that is my new norm. I hope you are enjoying the week so far. It’s been cold and rainy the past two days and I’m itching to get outside and walk.
Hope the rain lets up a bit. I also have to catch up on blog visits.
I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Liese’s book more. I remember it not being my favorite of hers. I did love the other one you have coming up, so hopefully it will be better for you.
Her books are somewhat hit and miss, but I mostly like them.
I am wishing for more snow days now that I’m without as much reading time at school! I really do need to read something by Chloe Liese too. Hope you had a good week last week!
