Hi, and welcome to my Monday Musings.
The last day of February. Wow, it really does feel like time is flying, yet again.
This past week was a combination of mundane routine, exciting moments, vulnerable moments, and a booster shot. Yep, I was the lucky recipient of a booster shot. I am really grateful that I can get all these shots to keep myself and everyone around me safe, but I’m getting sorely tired (pun intended) of getting poked with a needle. But, miracle of miracles, this time around there were pretty much no side effects. Just a sore arm for about a day, and some nausea for probably half a day. I’m very grateful for that, I’ll tell you. And now I’m good to go. Just in time too. From the 1st of March almost all COVID restrictions are being lifted here. I’m nervous and excited about that.
Friday evening, I, along with a friend, went to an Alice in Wonderland Immersive Cocktail Experience. You can read more info on it on their website here. We had an absolute blast solving some riddles and drinking creative cocktails. Afterwards we parked our cabooses in a local pub and had some wings and beer and fantastic conversation to end the evening of fun.
Saturday morning, I was feeling slightly fragile after all the various alcohols, but I had a visit with a group of friends lined up and I wasn’t going to miss that for anything. We learned more about essential oils and then caught up with each other’s lives over coffee and snacks.
And in the evening, it was date night with my husband. The restaurant was fairly quiet, and the food was good, but the company was even better. It’s been a while since we had time for just the two of us and we made good use of it to share what’s been going on while the other one’s not looking.
Sunday, ah, Sunday. I read the entire day. No joke. Took a break here and there for a snack, a walk with the dog, and making dinner, but other than that, it was all reading. I’ve been binging the Chicagoland series by Chloe Neill. I’ve read them before, and I’m enjoying them just as much the second time around.
And now on to the book part of the post.

DONE AND DUSTED
It was a slow week review-wise, though I did read a lot.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
I look forward to my reading list this week and some extra ones will probably be added to the list as the week goes on.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
I continued to be immersed in the Troubleshooters by Suzanne Brockman and I started rereading the Chicagoland Vampires series by Chloe Neill (like I mentioned above).
You can find more recommendations from me here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
Loved the Chicagoland Vampires series! And Donna Grant’s newest was pretty good. Just listened to the audio. Have a great week!
Yes, I’m reading Dark Alpha’s Passion now. Hope you have a great week too.
Well even though I’m fully vaxxed and boosted I don’t intend to stop wearing a mask, distancing, etc. I love the Chicagoland books. They are one of the first books I listened on audio and bought all on audio.

Yep, it’ll be interesting to see how things unfold. So far most people are still wearing masks, me included.
