Welcome to my Monday Musings. The last week of March was a good one. It was spring break for my son and it was a quiet one for him. I finally got someone in to tune the piano, and had a farewell lunch with a friend who has returned to South Africa.

Folks, on Tuesday I almost lost my mind. I was looking online for some WordPress plugins that might be nice to have, but I didn’t add any to my blog. I did play around with some of the existing settings to see what there all is. The next moment, my site won’t load and I get this bizarre error message that I’ve never seen before. Down the Google rabbit hole I go and, of course, that just made me hyperventilate even more. Luckily I was able to have an online chat with an actual person and it turns out it was just the cache going haywire. I purged it and all is well again. Who knew? I’m just unbelievably relieved that it wasn’t anything serious.

Friday my husband had a procedure at the hospital. Nothing serious and he was quickly back on his feet. We also had to enroll for my daughter’s second year classes, which was a bit of a clown show. She is on the waiting list for some and I guess now we just… wait.

And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

DONE AND DUSTED

It was a great reading week and I posted two reviews.

FOR THIS COMING WEEK

Looking forward to my reading for this week. Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.

QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE

From Hottie on her Shelf by Christi Barth: “Did you have fun last night?” “That’s not the point.” Under the microscopic clarity of hindsight, the fun had not been great enough to struggle through the misery of today.

From Nevermore Bookstore by Kerrigan Byrne & Cynthia St. Aubin: Cady bit her knuckles to keep her rush of excitement from becoming the audible squeak she’d once had to blame on a smoke detector in need of a new battery.

From Hexed by Kevin Hearne: “You killed my father,” he snorted in a basso profundo rumble. “Prepare to die!” “Inigo Montoya? Is that you?”

OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS

You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.

What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.

And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
