Welcome to my Monday Musings. As you can see, I’ve changed the picture for this post yet again. I just can’t seem to settle on something, so I’m going to live with this one for a while. You’re welcome to share your opinions on it.
There was no painting this week, we’ve taken a break. We have one room left, but there are a lot of things that have to be cleared out and moved before we can start painting, so I suppose we’re gathering our courage and strength for it. It was a good week. My son was part of his school’s Macbeth performance last week and we went to support them on Friday. The play offered a bit of a different slant, but the dialogue was all Shakespeare. The students did an excellent job. Saturday morning I had a few friends over for coffee and cake, and in the evening my husband and I had a date night. Sunday is usually my day for meal planning and grocery shopping.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I posted two reviews and had a most excellent week of reading.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
INTERESTING QUOTES
Some quotes that caught my eye this week:
From Spoiler Alert by Olivia Dade: Oh, God. Compared to this meal, the half-life of radium was going to seem short.
From Coach by Devney Perry: This was no dream. My imagination wasn’t rich enough to afford this kiss.
From King of Pride by Ana Huang: A heavy, tension-laced silence mushroomed around us. I was a proponent of science; I didn’t believe in anything that defied the laws of physics, but I could’ve sworn time physically slowed, like each second was encased in molasses.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.

I haven’t read those books by Sarina Bowen but I can’t wait to read Him. I do have it on my kindle waiting for me to read it. Hopefully next week! I really need to get on that Ana Huang series for sure.
Hope you have a fun reading week and pick up some fabulous reads.
Thanks! Hope you have a great week too.
It’s nice you are having the play, get togethers with friends and a date night. We are still trying not to go out unless necessary. And we like being at home. I get it about gearing up for projects. I have a lot scheduled for May.
For the most part, people here are moving around as usual. I personally don’t know anyone here who don’t. Office workers are doing a hybrid office/home work week. And you still see people wearing masks in a lot of places. Hospitals and doctor’s offices still require masks.
Sounds like you had a great week of activity with your son’s play, friends over for coffee and cake and a date night with the hubby. Good luck painting!
Thanks!
