Welcome to my Monday Musings. I had a super weird reading slump last week. I started about four books that I was excited about, but couldn’t really get into any of them. I ended up rereading a few of my favourites from Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling series. And then, luckily, I was able to get my groove back. Other than that, I had a lovely evening of wine and appetizers with a group of friends and I booked a camping trip for August.
We watched Palm Springs on Prime. It was unexpected and funny and interesting.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)

FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
INTERESTING QUOTES
From A Grave Robbery by Deanna Raybourn: “Veronica,” Stoker said, his eyes brilliant in the low lamplight. “I have known you in every possible way a man can know a woman. I understand you better than you will ever admit because one cannot fully love what one does not fully comprehend, and believe me when I say I love you entirely and comprehend you completely. For all your delightful unpredictability, you are thoroughly consistent in always choosing the most outlandish, outrageous, unimaginable options in any given situation.”

Have a wonderful week, Rolé. I have read the first Veronica Speedwell book and really want to read more. Great quote!
Thanks! Hope you have a great week too.
Well you are reading good books when you’re reading. I go through cycles too and it helps me that I read more genres.
You’re right, it definitely helps that I like a wide variety of books. And that the library had those Nalini Singh books available when I needed them.
Rereading old favorites is my favorite way to get out of reading slumps, too! I reread a lot last year — Leigh Bardugo, even Suzanne Collins. I’ve been wanting to spend more time with old faves, too, especially series that I started and enjoyed, but haven’t finished yet. 😭
Anyway, so glad you enjoyed your recent reads! Hoping for some more awesome reads this week for you. 💖
Thanks! You too.
I hate when I keep trying books and can’t get into any! Sometimes reading an old favorite helps though! Hope you have a good week!
Thanks, you too!
Sorry to hear about your reading slump. That sucks! Loved A Grave Robbery and Watcher in the Woods.
Yay to a night of wine and appetizers! A camping trip sounds fun!
I’ve had that happen and then the slump will end and I’ll read 9 books in 5 days. lol
So true!
I hope you’ve had a great week and have enjoyed your new books Rolé!
Thanks!
