Welcome to my Monday Musings. Still busy doing our taxes. This year my oldest had to file her first one, and luckily it was super easy and straightforward. We’re still waiting on some documents and then we can close that chapter for now. On Monday I had breakfast with a good friend of mine. It was her 50th birthday and I feel so happy that I got to see her on the actual big day. Tuesday saw me at the doctor’s office for my first check-up after all the COVID stuff started. It went well, I’ve just put on a lot of weight that’s very hard to get rid of now. Wednesday I went browsing at the mall with another friend and bought some things.
We had a quiet Easter weekend. Friday everyone was off work and school (and super grateful for it) and in the afternoon my husband and I went for a walk by the river with some friends. It was a gorgeous day. Then off for some beers at the pub and dinner. The rest of the weekend was dedicated to painting in our bedroom and bathroom. That part is all done now, thank goodness. Now I’m just doing some deep cleaning and then we’ll put the room back together.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (To find out more about the books: For mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. For PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
I only posted one review. I’ve finished another book, but I haven’t had a chance to write its review yet. It’s coming soon. I also dove back in to the Kate Daniels series and starting rereading some of those books.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Looking forward to my reading for this week. Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for musing with me on this beautiful Monday.
I finished my daughter’s taxes last night and I have COVID weight to go also. It sounds like a fun week otherwise. I love when projects get accomplished.
I enjoyed both The Man I Never Met and The Sister Effect and hope that you do too! Good for you to get some painting done! Have a wonderful week!
I also have some extra pounds I’d like to get rid of. It’s an ongoing battle to eat right and exercise! I love Kate Daniels and I’m so excited Ilona Andrews are writing more stories for her. I’d like to do a re-read though.
Oh I miss the days of the easy tax filing as a teenager, lol. Sounds like a pretty good week for you. Some good books there too! I enjoyed The Love Wager and Spoiler Alert. Hope you have a good week!
