Welcome to my Monday Musings. Hmm, I think it’s been about a month since my last recap? Wow, I have dropped the ball lately. I have a bunch of reviews to catch up with as well.
We had a wonderful camping trip to British Columbia at the end of August. The four of has had the best time and I adored all the time that we got to spend together. School is back and last week was the first full week. We all made it, but it was hard having to get up in the morning and doing work. Can you imagine that indignity? The weather had been nice and warm up until today and now the wind is certainly making itself known. The rest of this week’s forecast is rain, rain, and more rain.
In other excellent news, I was fortunate enough to win a signed book and other merch in the Mageri series read-along hosted by Books of My Heart.
And now on to the reading part of the post. (Mobile users – tap on the image of the book cover. PC users – just hover the mouse over the cover.)
DONE AND DUSTED
Today’s list is mostly made up of ARCs that I have finished reading, but haven’t gotten around to reviewing yet. The procrastination has been strong with this reviewer. The latest quickie reviews are here.
FOR THIS COMING WEEK
Some more will inevitably be added as the week goes on.
QUOTES THAT CAUGHT MY EYE
From Good Duke Gone Wild by Bethany Bennett: “What is that look for?” “What look? I didn’t do anything?” Waving her finger in the air in a vague sort of circle, Constance said, “Then your face just had an entire conversation without your knowledge.”
From Primal Mirror by Nalini Singh: Auden said, “Um.” She knew words. She knew lots of words. They were just unfortunately missing from her brain right now.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
You can find more recommendations here. Is there anything you’d like to recommend? I’m always open to new authors and new books.
What are you reading? Let me know in the comments below.
And that’s it. Thanks for joining me on this Monday Musings adventure.
I’m glad you had a nice trip. It’s so great to have you in the Read-along and Dannika Dark has been gracious and generous.
So glad you enjoyed your time away. And yes, adulting is hard! I didn’t enjoy turning my alarm back on a couple weeks ago. BUT I leave tomorrow for a European adventure. So this is my last check in for a few weeks. I hope you have a lovely rest of the month!
Enjoy your trip!
So happy that you had a wonderful trip away before school started. BC is amazing and I definitely need to to back. I am looking forward to that Sarah Bennett book. I am enjoying that series. I hope you have a wonderful week, Rolé.
Thanks, you too!
The first week of school was so hard to get up at that time of the morning every day! I was exhausted! Hope things are going well for you this week!
