3 Stars from me.
This is book two in the series Hot & Hammered.
Rosie and Dominic Vega have been together since high school, but lately Rosie hasn’t been feeling fulfilled in their marriage. They still burn up the sheets together, but everything else has seemed to come to a standstill. Rosie moves out and into her friend’s spare room, and she suggests that they go to counselling.
This is what you might expect the story after the happy ever after looks like. And I enjoyed that part. It shows how people can get complacent in a marriage and take things for granted. I loved both Rosie and Dominic, and I loved them together. Dominic is the stoic provider, and all he wants to do is make sure Rosie has everything her heart desires. But what Rosie desires is to recapture their intimate relationship outside the bedroom. And for too long Rosie has put her dreams on hold. Both Rosie and Dominic had to do some self-inspection, and relearn how to express what they wanted from each other. I liked Dominic’s determination to do whatever is necessary to have Rosie back in his life.
I quite liked it, and would love to read the next book coming.
Was I hooked by this book? Yes, I was pretty invested in the process.
