⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Was I hooked by that book? Absolutely. This rousing story of finding true love left me breathless and smiling.

Felicity Chen, aka Fizzy, successful romance author, is stuck. Her muse has left the building. When an offer comes her way via sexy hot Brit producer to star in a dating show based on DNA matching, she reluctantly agrees, with lots of conditions. Connor does not want to have anything to do with this show, but his career is on the line and he wants to stay close to his daughter. Sparks fly whenever Fizzy and Connor get together and they slowly start to fall in love off screen, as Fizzy goes through eight dates to find her true love on screen.

MY THOUGHTS

Fizzy’s personality lived up to her name, and yet her snarky way of talking hid a heart that was feeling a bit bruised and lonely. I liked Connor from the start. He was thrown into the deep end of a project that he didn’t want to be a part of, but he gave his all to make it a success.

We all knew Fizzy and Connor would end up together, but this book kept me guessing and on my toes because it could happen at any time and there was no predicting when. Every interaction between them were exciting and something to look forward to.

I had really hoped for that spectacular ending, but I wasn’t sure until it actually happened and then I was smiling so hard my face started to hurt. I’m giving this five stars for the ending alone, not that the rest don’t deserve it as well.

I can highly recommend this for any lover of a steamy, feel-good romance. This book follows The Soulmate Equation. It’s not necessary to read it first, but it does introduce the whole DNA matching concept and that’s where we meet Fizzy for the first time.
